KNO3 Project To Continue Deeper In 2012

After a month resting, Dragon X Aerospace is about to continue the KNO3 Project, or also as known as the Galaxy Project in the early start of 2012.


Scheduled launch of Galaxy X1 vehicle from Launch Complex 21 is no 17 February 2012, Friday. Dragon X is planning for a deeper research onto the project, which referred to the earlier plan, that the Launch Pad 21 will be upgrade to Launch Pad 21 - 2.0V, a steel made launch pad with some other new technologies used.

The new Launch Pad 21 - 2.0V is planned to enable the double boosters' Galaxy Double launch vehicle to be used for launch.

Post PMR 2011 Strike Again With Dragon X Team

Today, Dragon X Team and SMJK Chung Cheng's Post PMR 2011 students strike again for a gathering at KB Mall, Kota Bharu.


Included Cameron Tan, Chester Cheng, Mohammad Izzuan, Hongz Teoh, Sean Quek, Evonne Kang, Chu Jenn Anne, Tan Ying Ru, Ga Ee Vien, Wee Pei Chee and Kang Koon Wey having a great moment since 12pm to about 6pm.

Together today is a wonderful and happy moment with friends in the whole year of 2011~

Cooperation Makes First Production

Dragon X Aerospace and Champion Trading cooperation organization, Grandma Garden, a plantation farming organization had made the first experiment onto Mulberry's leaves.


The dried leaves was used to make into tea, which the tea can lower the cholesterol and blood pressure of a human body. Otherwise, the experiment makes a result of preparing duration of about 4 to 5 minutes.

Dragon X, Champion Trading Established Grandma Garden

In the last Thursday night private meeting of the two organization, Dragon X Aerospace and Champion Trading, the both organization had agreed to establish Grandma Garden, a corporation of plantation.


Dragon X was responsible for in charging of the plantation research, while Champion was responsible for in charging of the production and marketing. Dragon X's CEO, Cameron Tan, teammate Daniel Chua and Eddie Chua will be cooperated with Champion's Emilia Chua of plantation research.

The corporation was planned to be started for operation in January 2012.

Dragon X To Hunt For 10 December Total Lunar Eclipse

Dragon X was planning on hunting the Total Lunar Eclipse of 10 December 2011, Saturday.


The Total Lunar Eclipse will be observed by the west Pacific Ocean and some other more. The Eclipse will be start at the below time:

Dragon X Aerospace To Deal With New Organization

This Thursday night, Dragon X will have a private meeting with Champion Trading to deal for a new organization.


The new organization was planned for responsible in fruit and plantation project. A project approximately used about RM1,500.00 cost which is spent by Champion Trading was planned to be only operation in Kelantan state only.

The new organization will be put under the support of Champion Trading and Dragon X Aerospace.

Galaxy X1 and Aquarius M-41e Mission Interrupted

Originally scheduled launch of Galaxy X1 Development Flight on 24 November 2011, Thursday was delayed to 13 December 2011, Tuesday due to Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) fuel lacking. Later, after the second News Conference, Galaxy X1 was again postponed to January 2012. After another conversation with Dragon X Launch Pad Engineer, Sean Quek and General Manager,Chester Cheng on last week, Galaxy was confirmed postponed to a new launch date set on 17 February 2012, Friday.

Which the postponed X1 mission will enable Dragon X Team to make some other test onto the 7 in 1 Designation (Galaxy Project). Otherwise, the team can also working on to search for Potassium Nitrate fuel. And the launch pad 21 will also go for some other engineering test.

Aquarius M-41e final and close up mission for Dragon X's entire Water Rockets Programme was also been postponed to 22 February 2012, Wednesday. The Water Rockets Programme that was launched since October 2007 by the first International Malaysia Space System (IMSS) prototype was build, is still operating now and the final programmed close up will be made on 22 February next year.

Dragon X also added Galaxy Project's launch schedule, which involved Galaxy X2 mission onto the Payload Separation and Descending Test that was scheduled in March or April 2012, Galaxy Double X3 mission on first double boosters operational, Galaxy X4 onto environment test payload launch in September 2012, and the last for 2012 is the Galaxy Star X5, the first powerful single booster heavy liftoff vehicle test in December 2012 or February 2013.

Recycle Cosmos Space Station Module

The designation of the Cosmos Space Station module from Dragon X's CEO, Cameron Tan in 2008 pay off when the module was successfully built.


A module of 6 station room compartment, which was built with recycle materials, such as bottles, boxes and cardboard were used.

Galaxy Mock Up Completed

Today, after Dragon X completed the installation of 2 Recovery Chutes into Galaxy's Simulator Deck (SD) in the early evening which took time about an hour, the Chute Cap was covered up onto the Simulator Deck with the Recovery Chutes installed in it.


Finally, at about 5.45pm today, Dragon X had successfully completed the mock up of the Galaxy's booster and the Simulator Deck.

The 50 centimeter booster and the 13 centimeter Simulator Deck (SD) made the vehicle stood up right in the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC), High Bay 3 with a total completed height of 63 centimeter.

By the new launch date that was postponed from 13 December 2011 to 17 February 2012, Galaxy will be awaiting for the Potassium Nitrate fuel to arrive to SVAC for installation and launch. Furthermore, the postponed launch window will also enable Dragon X Team to make some test and configuration onto the 7 In 1 Designation.

Galaxy X1 Launch Postponed

Delayed launch of Galaxy X1 Development Flight from 24 November 2011, Thursday to 13 December 2011, Tuesday due to fuel problem was again announced postponed by Dragon X.


The new launch date set for Galaxy X1 was on 17 February 2012, Friday. This will enable the team to prepare and make some test onto the fuel and vehicle before the launch. The final launch of Aquarius M-41e on 20 December 2011 was also been postponed to 22 February 2012, Wednesday.

Galaxy Capsule Separated For Parachutes Installation

Today, Dragon X separated Galaxy's Capsule from its booster in the early evening to give a way go for three main Recovery Chute installation.

Today, Dragon X also made the first chute test in SVAC before the Recovery Chute is able to be installed into the vehicle. A meeting of Galaxy launch date was made for the second times, and a decision of new launch date was made to be in January 2012.

As a postponed result, the final launch of Aquarius M-41e rocket was also been postponed to February 2012, and followed by Galaxy X2 launch that was reset to March or April 2012.

Dragon X Released New 7 In 1 Designation

Dragon X had just released the new 7 In 1 Designation, for the Galaxy Project.


The designation which combined the IMSS Programme (2007), Shadow Project (2008), Hypersonic X-386 Designation (2008), EX Programme (2008), Diamond Ring Programme (2009), Aquarius (2010) and the latest Phantom X Project (2010).

The combination of all Dragon X's previous designation into the current Galaxy Project (2011) make the most powerful designed vehicle ever designed and built.

Galaxy X1 Today Launch Delayed

Originally plan of today Galaxy X1 Development Flight was delayed to 13 December 2011, Tuesday. Due to the fuel problem unsolved, Dragon X is still handling on 13 December 2011 or the next launch window was set in January 2012.


Today, Dragon X completed the build of Launch Tower A and its Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate (GUCP). Launch Pad 21 will be going for the next ground test on next week if the weather is possible.

Galaxy LAFs Installed

Today, Dragon X had installed the 4 Launch Abort Flap (LAF) for Galaxy X1 vehicle at the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC), High Bay 3 in the late evening.

The Launch Tower A and Multipurpose Launcher Platform )MLP) were also made their second ground test in SVAC after LAF installation.

Launch Tower Makes First Ground Test Of Structural Stand

Galaxy Project's Launch Pad 21 is now under the process of building in order to make the project success.


Dragon X makes the first test of Launch Tower A structural stand together with the Multipurpose Launcher Platform (MLP).

The approximately 1.2 meter launch tower was set together with its partner, MLP on yesterday evening. The test was made for determining the balancing and the tower alignment during placing the rocket with it. After the test was passed successfully, then Dragon X will placed in the Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate (GUCP) and the Pressurize Hydraulic and Protection System (PHPS) onto the tower.

Galaxy Design b Considered To Move To High Bay 3-1A

Dragon X's test vehicle, Galaxy Design b was considered to move from the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC) High Bay 3 to High Bay 3-1A.


The action was considered due to providing a wider space for the building of Galaxy X1 vehicle. Galaxy Design b is now awaiting for the Potassium Nitrate fuel to arrive to SVAC and to be inserted for fuel test. While Galaxy is still awaiting for her three main Recovery Chute and Potassium Nitrate to arrive to SVAC for this mid November launch (targeted).

The other back up launch attempt was set on 13 December 2011 and January 2012. The launch tower for Galaxy Project is also under the construction at Dragon X. The height for the launch tower was designed to be at 100 centimeter (1 meter).

Dragon X Under Fuel Searching Work

Dragon X is now facing a problem of lacking the Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) fuel to launch Galaxy Design b vehicle as the first fuel test for the future Galaxy Project.


Four times the Galaxy Design b had been delayed and now, Dragon X would again announced for postponing the launch and the fuel test. Dragon X added an additional back up launch attempt for Galaxy X1 in January 2012.

Originally launch date and window for Galaxy X1 Development Flight is on 24 November 2011, and the second back up launch date was opened on 13 December 2011. Now, by facing the fuel lacking problem that had ruin all the test schedule of Galaxy Project had force Dragon X to consider to open a new back up launch window in not earlier than January 2012.

By the way, the work on searching Potassium Nitrate is still working on by Dragon X Team.

Dragon X Team Return Home Safety

Yesterday midnight, on 3 November 2011, Thursday, at about 11.45pm, Dragon X Team: Cameron Tan, Chester Cheng, Hongz Teoh, Sean Quek, Muhammad Izzuan, Tan Ying Ru and the other participants had return home safety to Kota Bharu, Kelantan after a 3 days 2 nights trip from Langkawi.


35 students and 3 teeachers (Pn Masitah, Pn Amy and En Gan Tong Hin) arrive to Kuala Perlis Ferry Terminal at about 6.15pm on 1 November 2011, Tuesday. Then about a 45 minutes ferry ride landed us at Kuah Town, Langkawi.

Many wonderful and enjoyable memories was collected during the trip. One of the place we had been visited is the Langkawi National Observatory (LNO). We experience the solar and stellar telescope watching. The visitation was associated with Malaysia National Space Agency (ANGKASA).

We also visited the Underwater World, Mangrove Island Tour, LNO, Gunung Matchinchang - Cable Car, Beras Terbakar and Eagle Square. This is an awesome and a forgettable trip we been there.

Dragon X Team On Trip To Langkawi Island

Tomorrow night, 31 October 2011, at about 9pm to 10pm, Dragon X Team will depart from SMJK Chung Cheng, Kota Bharu heading ahead to Kuala Perlis by a night bus journey. The journey from Kota Bharu to Kuala Perlis was expected to be about 8 to 9 hours, and the ferry journey from Kuala Perlis to Kuah Town, Langkawi was about 1 hour 15 minutes.


List of Dragon X Team go for the trip is Cameron Tan, Chester Cheng, Muhammad Izzuan, Sean Quek, Daniel Chua and Hongz Teoh. We will be at Langkawi for 3 days 2 nights, and was scheduled to be arrive to Kota Bharu again on 3 November 2011, Thursday night at about 9pm to 10pm.

Lastly, wish all of the team to have an enjoyable and safe trip to Langkawi, and make a safe return again to Kota Bharu. Enjoy it very much team...^^

Dragon X Readies Galaxy Design b Launch

Today, Dragon X had considered to readies again the launch of Galaxy Design b vehicle as the first Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) fuel test. Dragon X Researcher, Reuel Ong and volunteer, Eddie Chua said that they maybe get the fuel by this Thursday, so Dragon X again decided to readies the vehicle launch again to the next Friday or Saturday. The new launch window for the launch has not been selected yet.

Dragon X Set To Mark New History

On 24 November 2011, at 3.45pm, Dragon X will begin its first step to mark new history as Galaxy roll out from the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC) toward Launch Complex 21.


4 years since the first rocket prototype was built in 2007 by Dragon X, it was the first mission for Dragon X to build a burning fuel rocket. "It had been 4 years since we built the first rocket prototype, and today, we will make a replacement for the programme," said Cameron in the statement.

Galaxy X1 launch on 24 November 2011 will mark Dragon X new history for the first flight of KNO3-Fueled Rocket. Engineers and technicians is working on the vehicle and launch pad in SVAC before the launch date fall. As the new history marked in, the previous Water Rockets Programme will come to an end. Aquarius M-41e will be launch for the final time to close up the entire programme in this year end.

Dragon X Under Fuel Progress

Dragon X is now in work of searching for Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) fuel to install into Galaxy Design b vehicle which was delayed from 25 October 2011 (Tuesday) to 30 October 2011 (Sunday) due to fuel installation error.


Galaxy Design b is specially design and build to complete Dragon X's first test onto Potassium Nitrate. Galaxy Design b is also the first key of building the Galaxy vehicle, which was also design as the 7 in 1 Combination Design.

Dragon X combined the previous launch vehicle designs into 1 to build the powerful Chemical Ignition System (CIS), Galaxy.

Dragon X Mock Up Galaxy

Dragon X had completed 45% of the Simulator Deck (DC) for Galaxy X1. Mock up had been completed and the vehicle is now awaiting for its fuel and parachute to be installed.


The fuel was expected to be prepare by Researcher, Reuel Ong and the Recovery Chute will be prepare by Engineer, Chester Cheng. Back up Launch Attempt window was still open for 13 December 2011.

Galaxy Design b Launch Delayed

Today scheduled launch of Galaxy Design b vehicle as the first fuel test for Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) was delayed due to the lack of Potassium Nitrate fuel.


Dragon X researcher, Reuel Ong was also said that he will keep on looking for the fuel as the new launch date was opened on the next Sunday, 30 October 2011.

Furthermore, on 31 October 2011, Monday night, Dragon X Team will be travel to Langkawi Island and will be back again to Kota Bharu on 3 November 2011, Thursday night.

Launch Pad Engineer, Sean Quek mentioned that he will try to make a safe structural of the Multipurpose Launcher Platform (MLP) before the launch of Galaxy X1 Development Flight that would probably be postponed to 13 December 2011. Then, for the Galaxy Double design vehicle, Sean will build a new launch pad with a high secure mode during the vehicle liftoff.

Dragon X's Crew Camping

On 18 October 2011 to 20 October 2011 (Tuesday to Thursday), Dragon X Crew: Cameron Tan, Sean Quek and Chester Cheng participated in a course camp called, Kem Kursus 1 Murid 1 Sukan. With the other schoolmate: Chook Shun Kent, Kang Yee Hui, Chu Jenn Anne, Lee Sian Mei and Lee Leng Wei. We also met some new friends from SMJK Chung Hwa.






It was a happy moment^^ and after this, on 1 November 2011 to 3 November 2011, Dragon X Crews will follow on a trip to Langkawi Island at Kedah.

Galaxy Design b In SVAC High Bay 3-1A

Dragon X's test vehicle, Galaxy Design b is now building at the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC), High Bay 3-1A. Galaxy Design b is scheduled to be launch on 06 November 2011.


A special design and manufacture of 10 centimeter height Galaxy Design b will made a first booster test with the Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) and sugar fuel as an ignition.

The Multipurpose Launcher Platform (MLP) is now undergo for 95% completion. While the Galaxy's booster is still going for 55% completion. Expected on next week, the MLP will be fully completed and after that, the Launch Tower will started to build.

Dragon X Unwrapped Galaxy Booster

Just now, an hour ago, Dragon X unwrapped Galaxy's booster at the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC) to prepare for the next step of building.


On this Friday, Dragon X Engineer, Chester Cheng will come over to SVAC to continue the building of Galaxy's booster. Dragon X CEO, Cameron Tan re-design Galaxy's booster, and this Friday, the booster will be re-do by its outer layer of the booster.

Launch Pad Engineer, Quek Ching Eia said that the Multipurpose Launcher Platform (MLP) will be undergo its last 10% building of placing in the aluminium foil on the surface area of the launch pad.

Dragon X will also start to make a preparation on the Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) fuel, which the first fuel test was scheduled on 25 October 2011.

Dragon X To Unwrapped Galaxy Booster

Schedule on this 11 October 2011, Tuesday evening, Dragon X will unwrapped Galaxy's Booster at the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC) to resume the building of Galaxy rocket. As it, Multipurpose Launcher Platform (MLP) was also expected to arrive to SVAC on next week.


The first test of Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) will be done on 25 October 2011. This is to ensure that the fuel can be ignited for the launch on 24 November 2011 flight.

Dragon X Released New Galaxy Heavy Launch Design

Art concept of Galaxy X1 Development Flight launch from Launch Complex 21 on 24 November 2011, Thursday, scheduled at 4.21pm.


Above is an art concept of Dragon X's most powerful heavy liftoff vehicle, the Galaxy Double rocket with two Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs) on both side to fill up with 314.2cm/3 of Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) and powdered sugar fuel.

For the first flight test of Galaxy Double on Exploration 3 mission (X3) was targeted not earlier than mid of June 2012. Which will be followed up by Galaxy X4 launch for the inauguration of the new launch system and project development 3 weeks after Galaxy Double X3 launch.

Multipurpose Launcher Platform 60% Completed

The Multipurpose Launcher Platform (MLP), mainly designed and built for Galaxy Project was now completed by 60%. Dragon X expected the MLP would be 100% completed and arrived to SVAC to make a preparation for its "team mate", the launch tower to arrive at the beginning of November this year.


The launch tower for Launch Pad 21a was planned to begin to build on the mid of October 2011. Launch Pad Engineer, Quek Ching Eia made a change on the MLP original designation.
