Recycle Cosmos Space Station Module

The designation of the Cosmos Space Station module from Dragon X's CEO, Cameron Tan in 2008 pay off when the module was successfully built.


A module of 6 station room compartment, which was built with recycle materials, such as bottles, boxes and cardboard were used.

Galaxy Mock Up Completed

Today, after Dragon X completed the installation of 2 Recovery Chutes into Galaxy's Simulator Deck (SD) in the early evening which took time about an hour, the Chute Cap was covered up onto the Simulator Deck with the Recovery Chutes installed in it.


Finally, at about 5.45pm today, Dragon X had successfully completed the mock up of the Galaxy's booster and the Simulator Deck.

The 50 centimeter booster and the 13 centimeter Simulator Deck (SD) made the vehicle stood up right in the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC), High Bay 3 with a total completed height of 63 centimeter.

By the new launch date that was postponed from 13 December 2011 to 17 February 2012, Galaxy will be awaiting for the Potassium Nitrate fuel to arrive to SVAC for installation and launch. Furthermore, the postponed launch window will also enable Dragon X Team to make some test and configuration onto the 7 In 1 Designation.

Galaxy X1 Launch Postponed

Delayed launch of Galaxy X1 Development Flight from 24 November 2011, Thursday to 13 December 2011, Tuesday due to fuel problem was again announced postponed by Dragon X.


The new launch date set for Galaxy X1 was on 17 February 2012, Friday. This will enable the team to prepare and make some test onto the fuel and vehicle before the launch. The final launch of Aquarius M-41e on 20 December 2011 was also been postponed to 22 February 2012, Wednesday.

Galaxy Capsule Separated For Parachutes Installation

Today, Dragon X separated Galaxy's Capsule from its booster in the early evening to give a way go for three main Recovery Chute installation.

Today, Dragon X also made the first chute test in SVAC before the Recovery Chute is able to be installed into the vehicle. A meeting of Galaxy launch date was made for the second times, and a decision of new launch date was made to be in January 2012.

As a postponed result, the final launch of Aquarius M-41e rocket was also been postponed to February 2012, and followed by Galaxy X2 launch that was reset to March or April 2012.

Dragon X Released New 7 In 1 Designation

Dragon X had just released the new 7 In 1 Designation, for the Galaxy Project.


The designation which combined the IMSS Programme (2007), Shadow Project (2008), Hypersonic X-386 Designation (2008), EX Programme (2008), Diamond Ring Programme (2009), Aquarius (2010) and the latest Phantom X Project (2010).

The combination of all Dragon X's previous designation into the current Galaxy Project (2011) make the most powerful designed vehicle ever designed and built.

Galaxy X1 Today Launch Delayed

Originally plan of today Galaxy X1 Development Flight was delayed to 13 December 2011, Tuesday. Due to the fuel problem unsolved, Dragon X is still handling on 13 December 2011 or the next launch window was set in January 2012.


Today, Dragon X completed the build of Launch Tower A and its Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate (GUCP). Launch Pad 21 will be going for the next ground test on next week if the weather is possible.

Galaxy LAFs Installed

Today, Dragon X had installed the 4 Launch Abort Flap (LAF) for Galaxy X1 vehicle at the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC), High Bay 3 in the late evening.

The Launch Tower A and Multipurpose Launcher Platform )MLP) were also made their second ground test in SVAC after LAF installation.

Launch Tower Makes First Ground Test Of Structural Stand

Galaxy Project's Launch Pad 21 is now under the process of building in order to make the project success.


Dragon X makes the first test of Launch Tower A structural stand together with the Multipurpose Launcher Platform (MLP).

The approximately 1.2 meter launch tower was set together with its partner, MLP on yesterday evening. The test was made for determining the balancing and the tower alignment during placing the rocket with it. After the test was passed successfully, then Dragon X will placed in the Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate (GUCP) and the Pressurize Hydraulic and Protection System (PHPS) onto the tower.

Extender 10 Move To Exhibition Port

Dragon X cancelled flight designation, Extender 10 had rollout from the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC) and move to the exhibition port for view. The news conference set for Galaxy Launch Schedule and Approval was being consider by next week.

Next Week's News Conference: Galaxy Launch Schedule and Approval

Dragon X to make a news conference on next week, to determine the launch schedule and approval for Galaxy X1 Development Flight.


Galaxy X1 Development Flight launch window will be announced to change to 13 December 2011. While Galaxy Design b fuel test will be launch a week before Galaxy X1.

Galaxy Design b Considered To Move To High Bay 3-1A

Dragon X's test vehicle, Galaxy Design b was considered to move from the Space Vehicle Assembly Center (SVAC) High Bay 3 to High Bay 3-1A.


The action was considered due to providing a wider space for the building of Galaxy X1 vehicle. Galaxy Design b is now awaiting for the Potassium Nitrate fuel to arrive to SVAC and to be inserted for fuel test. While Galaxy is still awaiting for her three main Recovery Chute and Potassium Nitrate to arrive to SVAC for this mid November launch (targeted).

The other back up launch attempt was set on 13 December 2011 and January 2012. The launch tower for Galaxy Project is also under the construction at Dragon X. The height for the launch tower was designed to be at 100 centimeter (1 meter).

Dragon X Under Fuel Searching Work

Dragon X is now facing a problem of lacking the Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) fuel to launch Galaxy Design b vehicle as the first fuel test for the future Galaxy Project.


Four times the Galaxy Design b had been delayed and now, Dragon X would again announced for postponing the launch and the fuel test. Dragon X added an additional back up launch attempt for Galaxy X1 in January 2012.

Originally launch date and window for Galaxy X1 Development Flight is on 24 November 2011, and the second back up launch date was opened on 13 December 2011. Now, by facing the fuel lacking problem that had ruin all the test schedule of Galaxy Project had force Dragon X to consider to open a new back up launch window in not earlier than January 2012.

By the way, the work on searching Potassium Nitrate is still working on by Dragon X Team.

Dragon X Team Return Home Safety

Yesterday midnight, on 3 November 2011, Thursday, at about 11.45pm, Dragon X Team: Cameron Tan, Chester Cheng, Hongz Teoh, Sean Quek, Muhammad Izzuan, Tan Ying Ru and the other participants had return home safety to Kota Bharu, Kelantan after a 3 days 2 nights trip from Langkawi.


35 students and 3 teeachers (Pn Masitah, Pn Amy and En Gan Tong Hin) arrive to Kuala Perlis Ferry Terminal at about 6.15pm on 1 November 2011, Tuesday. Then about a 45 minutes ferry ride landed us at Kuah Town, Langkawi.

Many wonderful and enjoyable memories was collected during the trip. One of the place we had been visited is the Langkawi National Observatory (LNO). We experience the solar and stellar telescope watching. The visitation was associated with Malaysia National Space Agency (ANGKASA).

We also visited the Underwater World, Mangrove Island Tour, LNO, Gunung Matchinchang - Cable Car, Beras Terbakar and Eagle Square. This is an awesome and a forgettable trip we been there.
